In this bass lesson I discuss a great bass soloing exercise/technique that’s going to really open up the sound of your bass soloing. By using a mix of linear and intervallic solo lines you can start to develop the sound and shape of your bass solos so you start to break away from the old ‘running up and down scales sound’.
At http://www.scottsbasslessons.com you’ll also find many more free HD video bass lessons and backing tracks. The lessons cover a wide range of topics from bass soloing, improvisation, walking bass, grooves etc.
