The organizers are keeping with the ethos of supporting Yorkshires bands and artists (of which there are over 80 on themed stages this year) and are also introducing a few new ideas. This year sees the introduction of theme nights on the marquee stage with an American night to herald Independence Day on Friday the 4th of July and a sixties seventies theme night on the Saturday. American genre bands will perform on the Friday while Saturday s line-up includes Beatles and Abba tributes amongst other popular tunes from that era.
There s lots of things for kids free including the arts and crafts workshop, childrens entertainer, zumba, tennis coaching and competitions. At a small cost there are age ranging bouncy castles, slides and rides, a climbing wall and waterballs along with the clay modelling, hair braiding, crazy golf, a carousel, henna tattoos and face painting.
Dogs are allowed as long as they are well behaved and are monitored closely by their owners.
